    Recognizing Our Veterans

    Fleet of Heroes

In honor of all veterans who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of others, we are honored to present a series of custom-wrapped veteran trucks to our fleet.

Each truck in the Fleet of Heroes tells its own unique story and we proudly hand over the keys to a Military Veteran Driver who proudly represents Knight, the truck and the U.S Military.

Unveiled in November 2019, our first wrapped truck is a comprehensive tribute to all military veterans who have ever served, representing every branch of the armed forces. Adorned with powerful imagery and symbols, it celebrates the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of these heroes. This moving memorial honors the collective legacy of our veterans, ensuring that their service is remembered and respected by all who see it, and serves as a unifying symbol of gratitude for their commitment to our nation. Originally driven by Chris McCarroll, this truck has now been purchased by a Knight Owner Operator.

Referred as our "Memorial Truck," in July 2020 we released our second Fleet of Heroes truck.  Our Memorial Truck is a solemn tribute to the veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Wrapped in poignant imagery and symbols, it honors the bravery and dedication of those who have given their lives to protect our freedoms. This mobile memorial ensures their legacy endures, reminding all who see it of the profound cost of liberty and the heroes who paid that price. This truck is driven by Rik Reichert, an Air Force Veteran from our Las Vegas Dry Van Terminal.

Our "Welcome Home" truck was unveiled in November 2020 and stands as a tribute to the military families who support their loved ones from home, symbolizing their strength, patience, and unwavering dedication. Adorned with heartfelt images and symbols, it acknowledges the sacrifices and challenges they endure, often behind the scenes. By showcasing this tribute, we honor the families' steadfast support and recognize their essential role in the fabric of our nation's defense.  This truck is driven by Marcia Luchenbill, an Army Veteran from our El Paso Dry Van Terminal.

Our fourth Fleet of Heroes truck was released in May 2021, paying tribute to all wounded veterans. This truck is meant to show that there is life after being wounded but also to remind everyone that freedom isn't free and comes at a cost. Originally driven by Brian Thompson, this truck is home to our Arizona Refrigerated terminal.

Our Vietnam Veteran truck is our fifth truck and was welcomed to our fleet in January 2022. This truck is a heartfelt homage to the Vietnam veterans, embodying the resilience, valor, and sacrifices made by those who served during the Vietnam War. With vivid imagery and poignant symbols, it brings their stories to life, enduring their dedication and hardships are never forgotten. This truck is driven by Kevin Knight, a Navy veteran from our Charlotte Dry Van terminal.

Dedicated to all veterans who served in Desert Storm, Fleet of Heroes truck number seven was unveiled in June 2022. This truck serves as a moving tribute to the brave men and women who served in Desert Storm, reflecting their courage, dedication, and sacrifice.  Originally driven by Kevin Meiser, this truck is now being driven by Kristopher Adams who served in the Army and drives for our Denver Dry Van terminal.

Truck number seven was released in October 2022 and honors the courageous first responders who rush to our rescue in times of crisis and the immense sacrifices they make to protect and serve our communities. This truck was originally driven by Walter Dukes and is now being driven by Alexander Mitchell, an Air Force Security Forces Veteran out of our Gulfport Terminal.
