Meet the New Columbus Dry TM!

We are excited to welcome Brent Newsom as the new Manager for our Columbus Dry terminal!

With seven years of experience at Knight and KNX brands, Brent brings a deep appreciation for the drivers and an understanding of what it takes to build strong relationships and a successful terminal. Some of Brent’s favorite memories come from working with Steven Currie and Katie Gunn, where countless inside jokes and shared laughter created lasting bonds.

As the new leader in Columbus, Brent is focused on ensuring profitability through smart expense management, market development, and prioritizing driver retention and recruiting. He is especially looking forward to meeting the new drivers, particularly students, and watching them grow and succeed in their careers.

Outside of work, Brent is a proud husband and father of two daughters, ages 20 and 16. In his free time, he enjoys riding motorcycles, playing chess, writing music, and occasionally performing. A movie enthusiast, Brent highly recommends watching Moneyball and suggests the book The Anger Trap by Les Carter for a thought-provoking read. And while he’s a fan of many activities, his guilty pleasure is watching reality TV with his wife.
