This year’s event focused on supporting Shine. Born prematurely with a rare condition, Shine Arslanian’s life was saved by UC Davis Children’s Hospital’s Critical Care Transport Team. Now six years old and having undergone 17 surgeries, Shine defies the odds as an aspiring triathlete and Paralympian, inspiring others with his determination and joy.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was the unveiling of a Fleet of Miracles truck featuring Shine’s enlarged photo alongside the UC Davis Children’s Critical Care Transport Team. Seeing his image celebrated in such a grand way left Shine, his family, and all attendees in awe. This powerful visual representation of hope and resilience underscores the essential role of our partnerships in delivering critical care and support to those in need.
