Knight Transportation is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our employees & the communities we serve. The Knight-Swift Charitable Foundation, our 501(c)(3) charitable arm, plays a crucial role in this mission.
Our foundation focuses on improving the well-being of our employees, enhancing local communities and creating a brighter future for our children: one person, one shipment and one community at a time.
This charitable effort is supported by donations, fundraisers and collective actions from all Knight employees.
Areas of Giving
Children's Health
Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada. These funds are used to support the healthcare needs of children, providing life-saving treatments, medical equipment, and charitable care.
CMN Hospitals partners with various businesses and communities to generate donations that directly benefit the local hospitals in the network, ensuring that funds stay within the community to support the specific needs of children in those areas.
The organization aims to improve the quality of life for sick and injured children through its fundraising and advocacy efforts.
Knight Transportation & Swift Transportation has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 2019.

Ending Hunger
Knight Transportation has a longstanding partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank. Through this partnership, Knight Transportation leverages its logistical expertise and resources to support the food bank’s mission.
This collaboration involves transporting large quantities of food donations, helping with food drives & providing volunteers for various events. Together, St. Mary’s Food Bank and Knight Transportation work to ensure that food reaches those in need efficiently and effectively, making a significant impact on the fight against hunger in Arizona.

Veteran Support
Military Apprenticeship Program
Knight Transportation’s Military Apprenticeship Program helps veterans transition to civilian careers in the trucking industry. It offers comprehensive training, combining classroom instruction and on-the-road experience. Veterans can also use their GI Bill benefits to receive additional income during training.
This program reflects Knight Transportation’s commitment to supporting the military community and valuing veterans’ skills and service.
Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization that honors fallen veterans by placing wreaths on their graves during the holiday season.
Knight Transportation is actively involved with Wreaths Across America, an organization dedicated to honoring and remembering veterans by placing wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers during the holiday season. Knight Transportation supports this cause by providing transportation services to deliver wreaths to cemeteries across the country. This partnership allows Knight Transportation to contribute to the mission of Wreaths Across America and show appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans.
Human Trafficking
Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is a nonprofit organization that educates, equips, and mobilizes members of the trucking and travel plaza industry to combat human trafficking.
TAT provides training materials and resources to
help industry members recognize and report signs of human trafficking, with the goal of raising awareness and preventing this crime.
Knight Transportation is proud to be a sponsor of Trucker Against Trafficking’s mission through multi-year committed sponsorship.
Programs & Events
The Fleet of Miracles is a powerful collaboration between Knight Transportation and Swift Transportation, where custom-wrapped trucks travel thousands of miles each year to raise awareness about the transformative work happening in hospitals supported by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). These trucks act as moving billboards, highlighting the extraordinary efforts of healthcare professionals and sharing the inspiring stories of patients and families.
Hospitals chosen to be part of the Fleet of Miracles have the unique opportunity to work with us on the truck designs, ensuring their programs are beautifully showcased. Additionally, the selected hospital and a featured patient family are invited to join us at the annual Knight-Swift Charity Golf Classic in Phoenix, AZ, where the new Fleet of Miracles trucks will be revealed for the first time.
The Fleet of Miracles is not just about transportation—it's a meaningful way to spotlight the incredible work happening in hospitals to change kids health, to change the future.
The Knight-Swift Charity Golf Classic is a premier two-day event that brings together leaders from across the transportation industry for an enjoyable and impactful experience. This annual gathering not only offers participants the chance to engage in friendly competition on the green but also serves a greater purpose—supporting a variety of charitable causes that make a difference in our communities.
From networking with industry peers to enjoying the camaraderie of the event, the Knight-Swift Charity Golf Classic is more than just a golf tournament; it's a celebration of giving back. All proceeds from the event go directly to selected charities, helping to fund initiatives that provide essential services, resources, and support to those in need. Whether it’s contributing to health services, community outreach, or other vital programs, the impact of this event extends far beyond the golf course, touching lives and fostering positive change.
Started in 2021, Truck-A-Thon is an exciting and impactful fundraising initiative where our terminal locations and departments come together throughout one month out of the year to support our national charity partner, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. These events not only bring joy and fun to our workplace but also serve a noble purpose by supporting the mission of protecting the health of future generations.
By providing better medical treatments, advanced equipment, and improved facilities, Truck-A-Thon empowers children's hospitals to address existing health challenges and prepare for future ones, making a lasting difference in the lives of countless children and families.
The funds raised through Truck-A-Thon go beyond aiding those in critical situations. They promote research, preventative care, health and safety education.
