Sustainable Trucking Leader: Knight-Swift Wins 2025 HDT Award
We’re proud to share that Knight-Swift Transportation has been recognized as a 2025 HDT Top Green Fleet, earning a spot among only 20 fleets selected across North America for their outstanding commitment to sustainable trucking practices.
Presented annually by Heavy Duty Trucking (HDT), the Top Green Fleets award honors transportation companies that lead the industry in fuel efficiency, emissions reduction, alternative fuel adoption, and environmentally friendly operations. HDT has been highlighting sustainability leaders in the freight and logistics sector since 2013.
Sustainability at the Core of Knight-Swift
At Knight-Swift environmental responsibility is embedded into our operations. We’ve implemented a range of company-wide sustainability initiatives, including:
- Expanding the use of renewable diesel to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Testing and deploying low- and zero-emission vehicles and equipment
- Installing a solar and battery storage microgrid at our primary charging facility
- Investing in fuel-efficient technology and eco-friendly facilities
These initiatives are part of our long-term mission to minimize environmental impact while enhancing operational efficiency and delivering reliable service to our customers.
