What's a TWIC?

In order to access the Ports, a Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as a TWIC Card, is required. TWIC Cards are managed by the Transportation Security Administration, you can apply in person or online for one.

Getting a HAZMAT endorsement opens more doors for a Ports driver. A HAZMAT endorsement is required in order to transport loads that the DOT classifies as containing hazardous materials. Increasing the number of loads you’re able to transport will translate to more opportunity to put money in your pocket.
